Once you receive your new Florida license plate in the mail, make sure to inform your building management or home association, school and/or place of business of your new license plate number. This will help you avoid future tickets or towing if vehicle plate numbers are used as identifiers by any of those or other organizations.
Also, if you have a tollway transponder such as an ePass, SunPass, make sure to update your account online.
Remember, it’s best to wait until you physically received your new license plate, since most plate numbers are randomized unless personalized. In the unlikely event your order is misdelivered or lost, your replacement license plate will most likely involve a new plate number.
