My order was canceled because the tag or license plate number was not found. What does this mean?

Your order was automatically cancelled because the license plate was not found in the state DMV database. It may have been entered incorrectly or the state's system does not have a matching record for it because it has either been replaced or cancelled within the last 24 months.

 

If you provide your VIN on your eTags account page within 2 days of the order being canceled, we can use resubmit your order for renewal with the VIN information. You can find the VIN on your insurance card, driver's side dashboard of the car, or your previous registration card. After 2 days, you will need to resubmit a new order with the correct plate number which can also be done directly in your eTags account without having to provide all the same order information again.

 

After double-checking both your physical plate and your existing registration, if confirm that the tag number was entered correctly yet your order was still canceled, please contact us and we will investigate further.
