All Florida Vessel or boat registrations begin with either an “FL” or “DO.” When entering your vessel’s tag number, it's important to enter the letters and numbers exactly as they appear on the decal or previous year’s registration. If the FL or DO isn't included with your order, your order may be canceled automatically for because the tag number could not be found or, the one that was found is for a different vehicle owner who happens to share the same numerical values of your vessel number. In rare instances, it can even result in the renewal of someone else’s vehicle by mistake.
To re-submit an order that was canceled because the boat tag or decal number was provided incorrectly, login to your account and resubmit your order after correcting your tag number. In some cases you may see the option to provide your VIN instead. Alternatively, you can go directly to our order page and start a new order.
Please note, some vessels have both FL and DO decals assigned to them. When in doubt of which numbers to use, always refer to your previous year’s registration.
