My order was cancelled due to an issue with my Florida driver's license. What do I do?

If any of the registered owners of the vehicle has a suspended driver's license, the DMV may block a renewal until the license is re-instated. If there are two registered owners,  the DMV does not make a distinction between the person with the license suspension and the person who might actually operate the vehicle. The license suspension must be resolved before the registration can be renewed or a replacement issued. To do so:

  • Visit the DMVs License Check page to find out what's being reported for each of the registered owner's license. You'll then resolve the matter and pay any necessary fees directly with the agency that issued the license suspension either online (if that option is provided), by phone, or in person.

  • Or, if you already know that the license suspension is associated with a ticket in particular Florida county, contact the Clerk of Courts directly in the county where the ticket, suspension, or other issue is recorded. You may be able to pay any applicable fine over the phone or online.

Once the license issue is resolved, it can  takes 2 days for the hold on your registration to be removed. After this 2-day waiting period, you my resubmit your renewal order by logging in to your account here and then clicking on "Edit and Complete Order."

If there are two registered owners and you would like to remove the individual with the license suspension or just remove a second owner for any reason, you can place an order for a transfer of title and registration here. Both owners will need to sign the title which is then mailed to us in order for the transfer to be completed. If you do not have or lost the title, you can place an order for a replacement title first. Keep in mind you cannot remove an owner from the title and registration not request a replacement title if there is an unsatisfied lien on the vehicle, such as when the vehicle is financed and still being paid off.
